This
region of strong prehispanic roots, it´s constituited
by a tipical and artesanal towns like Tzintzuntzan, Santa
Clara del Cobre, Cuanajo, Tupátaro, Erongarícuaro
and Quiroga, among others. The Pátzcuaro region counts
with two arqueological zones (Ihuatzio and Tzintzuntzan),
the lakes, the woods and mountains offers possibilities
to practice a diferent kind of sports and activities.
In the main events of the year, the "Señor del
Rescate de Tzintzuntzan" festivity, Semana Santa and
"Noche de Muertos", ( night of the dead ) an espectacular
ceremony with international recognition, also the international
fair of Santa Clara del Cobre.
Pátzcuaro is a real jewel af the colonial arquitecture where you
can enjoy various religious monuments and buildings of baroque
and neoclasical style in a great shape and conservation.
"Adobe" walls and " teja" roofs, give a singular aspect, in
armony with plazas and fountains. People in this zone is
friendly, warm and charming and with the beauty of the place
invites you to come over and over again.
